Throw that turncoat out of the Democrat Party! He owes his fellow Dems, but shows his gratitude by selling to the Republican Party. He should at least have the honesty that Strom Thurmond and Richard Shelby did of changing their party affiliations to match their voting records. Call Thurmond and Shelby what you want, but at least their honest right-wingers, instead of Republicans (wolves) in Democrats’ (sheep’s’) clothing!
Senators are elected to represent their State. Joe Manchin is doing that and is keeping the Senate filibuster in place which Democrats used over 300 times during the Trump Administration. President Trump suggested that the Republicans get rid of the filibuster, but then Majority Leader McConnel and most of his party along with the Democratic Party resisted that reactionay move. Now some of the bigots in the Democratic Party and their media lapdogs are doing their usual Alinsky tactic against Manchin, “accuse others of what you do, while you’re doing it”. As John F. Kennedy once said, “sometimes party loyalty asks too much.” And if radical left of the Democrstic Party pushes too hard to “throw the turncoat out”, the Senate flips to Republican control. As for lying about so called “Jim Crow” voting laws, let Joe Biden go back to Delaware and Chuck Schumer go back to New York to make their voting easier, like they did in Georgia applying “the equal potection if the laws” (14th Amendment), one of two which ended slavery, so that each and every voter has to show a free and easily obtainable government ID. That is, keep voting according to “the rule of law” whereby “no one is above the law”.
Long live the Republic …. Article IV, Section 4, U.S. Constitution
The fate of our liberties should not depend upon the whim of a U. S. Senator here or there (e.g., a Joe Manchin from West Virginia, or a Kyrsten Sinema from Arizona). The legislature of each of the States (including the General Assembly of Tennessee which I think has one of the better legislatures of the nation) should appoint a select group from its own body to stay abreast of and study these various rising Federal issues of the day, and should propose constitutional amendments to the U. S. Constitution when necessary under its Article V powers to initiate such amendments itself/themselves.
Groups of radical minorities from far, far away who happen to be in the Congress (and maybe even happen to be temporarily in control of the Congress) should not be allowed to destroy with their radical ideologies the fundamental liberties of the American people. To paraphrase Franklin, Keeping our Republic is hard work and requires our constant vigilance.

He’s the only democrat that has half a brain.
